Iran & Global Perspectives · Five-Point Assessment
This instrument presents eleven core questions, each with five positions arranged along a spectrum — from critically independent to uncritically aligned — to identify patterns of reasoning among respondents engaging with Iranian political narratives. Whether you are Iranian, part of the diaspora, or an informed observer from any background, your perspective is welcome. Options include positions of active scepticism, non-engagement, and distrust, alongside supportive and neutral stances.
Choose the ONE answer that best matches your honest view. There are no right or wrong answers — only revealing ones. Your full results, including your profile and a review of every answer, will appear immediately after submission.
Methodological note: This survey uses a convenience sample and is not representative of any broader population. It welcomes both Iranian and non-Iranian respondents. Results reflect only the reasoning patterns of those who choose to participate and should not be generalised. Responses are anonymous and stored for aggregate analysis only.

How to read this: Each answer is scored 1–5. A score of 1 reflects critically engaged reasoning (evidence-based, sceptical of all sources, tolerates complexity). A score of 3 reflects pragmatic reasoning (conditionally supportive, weighs trade-offs). A score of 5 reflects uncritically aligned reasoning (in-group loyalty over evidence). Lower total scores indicate more independent, evidence-based reasoning. Note: selecting “I don’t watch/follow” a particular source is scored as 1 (non-tribal), which may reflect either informed scepticism or simple non-engagement.
